i
love to capture people and moments in photographs that take your breath away
and
i love that people pay me to do what i love!
I have been an avid shutterbug since receiving my first camera at age 10. My grandfather assembled extensive family albums and shared with me the lure to be found in stacks of photos from years gone by. I have spent my life actively photographing the people around me and telling the stories of those photos in scrapbooks.
After graduating from Wofford College in 1995, I spent years working in "corporate America" before committing myself professionally to my first true love: photography. I have since been trained in portrait and wedding photography both locally and nationally, and am a member of Professional Photographers of America.
I choose to work my business part-time, because I am a full-time wife and the mother of five busy children. I work independently, on-location and out of my portable home-studio. My business-model affords me several advantages which also benefit my clients, including scheduling flexibility, moderate overhead which translates into moderate pricing, and a joy in what I do that is not muddied by overwork.
I book a limited number of weddings, events, and portrait sessions, and I truly enjoy capturing images that will be cherished for many years - and possibly generations. In addition to wedding/event and portrait photography, I offer photo-fundraising for non-profit groups including school sports, scouts, and more. I also offer a Deployment Session special to show thanks to our military personnel.
Most of my business comes from word-of-mouth, so I hope you will share my website with a friend. And be sure to ask me about the generous referral bonuses I offer to existing clients when they bring me new clients!
